I’ve been working within eCommerce since 2005 and with Demandware since 2012. I am a certified Salesforce Commerce Cloud(SCC)/Demandware Developer (my certification does include passing the recent requirement of a Customizations, Integrations, and Performance exam) and I’ve been involved and led a number of builds, detailed below.

DEMANDWARE CLIENTS
I’ve had the pleasure of working with the following Demandware clients (in alphabetical order):

SFCC/DEMANDWARE BUILDS

My experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud/Demandware includes the following builds:

  • Carter’s/OshKosh B’Gosh
Replatformed the site from SiteGenesis 1.0 to 2.0.
  • Traeger Pellet Grills
Technical lead for team migrating the site from an in-house eCommerce setup to the SCC/Demandware platform.
  • Ben Bridge Jewelers
Provided expertise on developing data feeds for the new site on the SCC/Demandware platform.
  • Sheplers
Data Architect responsible for working with Sheplers’ team to develop data feeds for powering desired functionality on site. Also functioned as back-end developer.
  • SpyOptic
Data Architect responsible for working with Spy Optic’s team to develop data feeds for powering desired functionality on site. Also functioned as back-end developer.
  • Too Faced
Data Architect responsible for working with Too Faced’s team to develop data feeds for powering desired functionality on site. Also functioned as back-end developer.

NOTABLE SCC/DEMANDWARE PROJECTS
Aside from the usual support and/or launch of the above sites, I’ve also been involved in some particularly fun projects that I’d like to call out:

  • S3 module for the Integration Framework
As part of my work for Moku and the launch of the upcoming BootBarn/Sheplers.com sites, I got to develop a module that allows the setup of workflows that upload & download to Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) — just like the OOTB FTP modules, but for Amazon. Since it had to operate within the Demandware environment, I wasn’t able to make use of the existing S3 libraries available and instead had to create it from scratch using the REST documentation. It is available within the SFCC xChange portal here: https://xchange.demandware.com/docs/DOC-40051
  • Product Copy Editor
As part of my work for Carter’s, I got to develop a Business Manager cartridge that added a new section within Business Manager. This was a highly customized interface that allowed copywriters to easily & quickly write copy for products, create copy templates to re-use, and ease the translation from English to French (designed to support multiple languages, but initially released for just French — for the expansion into CA).
